Synopsis
DescriptionWe have developed the Non-Traditional High School Program for those who have been out of school for at least six months and who have not received a high school diploma. This program is an effort to help those who wish to get a better job or simply to fulfill a life-long desire. Non-Traditional students may earn one of four diplomas: Vocational, General, College Prep, or Honors. The requirements to receive a diploma from Charity Christian Academy vary with the different programs offered: a vocational diploma requires 24 credits, while those wishing to receive a general diploma (24 credits), college prep diploma (25 credits), or a Honors Diploma (26 credits) have stricter guidelines to meet. The curriculum for the Non-Traditional High School Program is primarily in the form of instructional workbooks, with some opportunity for hands-on study and credit for life-experience. Students may earn dual-credit by enrolling at a college. All students enrolled in the Non-Traditional High School Program must have a proctor who will administer tests. Credit for life experience requires written documentation and possible testing to determine the amount of credit to award. Due to the amount of paperwork that needs to be processed, credit for life experience has a processing fee in addition to tuition. Students must either locate and pay for a proctor for all exams or make arrangements to come to the Charity Christian Academy campus.
