Nursery 2
Nursery 2 Program for 1-Year-Olds
Instilling a Love for Learning
In our Nursery 2 program designed for one-year-olds, we believe that fostering a love for learning is one of the most valuable gifts a parent can give to their child. At this tender age, children are naturally curious and eager to explore the world around them. By nurturing this curiosity, we can set the foundation for a lifelong passion for knowledge.
Gentle Approach to Early Education
We advocate for a gentle approach to education during these formative years. Young children, especially those around one year old, often lack the fine motor skills necessary for traditional workbook-style activities. Therefore, it’s important to tailor educational experiences to their developmental stage.
Hands-On Learning Method
Instead of focusing on workbooks, we recommend a hands-on approach to learning. This method involves interactive, playful activities that engage a child’s senses and encourage active participation. Children learn best through play, and hands-on experiences allow them to explore their environment while developing essential skills.
Benefits of Hands-On Learning
-
Enhances sensory development
-
Encourages exploration and discovery
-
Fosters creativity and imagination
-
Builds fine and gross motor skills
-
Promotes social interaction and communication
Non-Consumable Learning Materials
Most items included in our Nursery 2 package are non-consumable. This means that if you retain the original materials, subsequent children going through this program can benefit at a discounted rate. This not only provides long-term value but also ensures sustainability and resourcefulness in your child’s early education journey.
By choosing our Nursery 2 program, you are investing in an educational approach that respects and nurtures your child’s natural curiosity, laying the groundwork for a bright and inquisitive future.

Preschool 1
Preschool 1 Program Overview
Our Preschool 1 program is designed for children from age two up to their third birthday. This crucial period in a child’s development is marked by rapid growth and exploration, making it a perfect time to introduce a love for learning.
Philosophy of Early Learning
We believe that instilling a love for learning in young children is one of the best gifts a parent can give. During these formative years, a gentle approach to education is essential. Young children are still developing fine motor skills, which makes traditional workbook-style curricula less effective. Instead, we advocate for a hands-on learning method that engages and inspires.
Hands-On Learning Approach
Our program focuses on experiential learning, where children learn through play and exploration. This approach not only supports their cognitive development but also enhances their social, emotional, and physical growth. Here are some key components of our hands-on learning approach:
-
Interactive Play: Activities that involve building, sorting, and problem-solving.
-
Creative Arts: Painting, drawing, and crafting to encourage creativity and fine motor skills.
-
Music and Movement: Singing, dancing, and rhythm exercises to develop coordination and auditory skills.
-
Nature Exploration: Outdoor activities that foster curiosity about the world around them.
Non-Consumable Learning Materials
Most items included in our Preschool 1 package are non-consumable, ensuring they can be used repeatedly and shared among siblings or classmates. This not only makes the program more sustainable but also offers children the opportunity to revisit and reinforce their learning experiences.
By focusing on a hands-on, non-consumable approach to early education, we aim to create a nurturing environment where young children can thrive and develop a lifelong love for learning.

Katy No-Pocket
Katy No-Pocket
Katy the kangaroo had always felt a bit different from the other kangaroos in the forest. While her friends hopped around with their babies snug and safe in their pouches, Katy found herself feeling left out and a little distressed. She had no pouch of her own to carry her little Joey, and that made her feel incomplete.
A Journey for Solutions
Determined to find a solution, Katy set out on a journey. She visited the wise old owl, who suggested she try knitting a pouch. However, with her kangaroo paws, knitting was a near-impossible task. Next, she spoke to the clever fox, who advised her to try stitching one from leaves, but the pouch fell apart with the first hop.
Katy was starting to lose hope, but she was not ready to give up. She decided to visit the bustling city, where she hoped to find someone who could help her. As she hopped along the busy streets, she marveled at the tall buildings, the vibrant colors, and the people scurrying about.
The Kindly Construction Worker
Amidst the city hustle, Katy’s eyes caught sight of a kindly construction worker named Sam. He was hard at work, but he noticed the forlorn kangaroo watching him curiously. Intrigued by the unusual visitor, Sam approached her with a friendly smile.
Katy explained her predicament, and Sam listened patiently. He thought for a moment and then had a brilliant idea. “I think I can help you with that,” he said kindly. Sam rummaged through his toolbox and pulled out a sturdy, canvas apron with several large pockets.
A New Beginning
With a few adjustments, Sam managed to fit the apron snugly around Katy’s waist. Katy was delighted as she discovered the pockets were just the right size for her little Joey. She hopped around joyfully, her child secure and snug in one of the pockets.
The other animals in the forest were amazed when Katy returned with her innovative new solution. No longer did she feel different; instead, Katy felt proud of her unique pouch alternative. She had transformed her distress into a triumph with a little help from a kindly construction worker.
Katy’s story spread throughout the animal kingdom, serving as an inspiring tale of creativity and collaboration. From then on, she was known not just as Katy No-Pocket but as Katy the Clever, the kangaroo who found a new way to carry her Joey.

Preschool 2
Preschool 2 Program Overview
Our Preschool 2 program caters to children aged three to four years old. At this stage, we emphasize nurturing a love for learning in young children. We advocate for a gentle educational approach, recognizing that many children in this age group do not possess the fine motor skills necessary for traditional workbook-based learning. Instead, we focus on a hands-on learning method that engages their natural curiosity and fosters development.
Learning Approach
Hands-On Learning
-
Interactive Activities: Our program includes interactive activities that allow children to explore and learn through play. These activities are designed to stimulate their senses and encourage creativity.
-
Exploration and Discovery: Children are encouraged to explore their environment, which helps build their cognitive skills and understanding of the world around them.
-
Social Interaction: Group activities are incorporated to help children develop social skills like sharing, cooperation, and communication.
Fine and Gross Motor Skills Development
Before beginning reading instruction, we recommend assessing children’s fine and gross motor skills. This can be done through a simple test or checklist to ensure they are ready for more structured learning. Children who may not yet have these skills can experience frustration, so it’s important to approach this aspect with care.
Program Materials
Our Preschool 2 package includes mostly non-consumable items, meaning they can be reused and shared, which aligns with our hands-on learning philosophy. These materials are designed to:
-
Enhance Learning: Provide children with tools that aid in learning fundamental concepts through tactile experiences.
-
Support Development: Encourage the development of both cognitive and motor skills in a playful and engaging manner.
Conclusion
The Preschool 2 program is designed to create a supportive and enriching learning environment for young children. By focusing on hands-on activities and the development of motor skills, we aim to lay a solid foundation for future learning. Our approach encourages children to embrace learning with enthusiasm and curiosity, setting them on a path for lifelong learning.

Why Scissor Skills Are Important

About Three Beginner's Activity Book
The book “About Three” is primarily designed for children who are around three years old. However, it’s important to recognize that developmental readiness can vary greatly among children of this age group. Some three-year-olds may easily engage with the exercises, while others might not be ready yet.
Understanding Readiness
If your child does not seem ready for these exercises, there’s no need for concern or to conclude that your child is underdeveloped. Children develop and mature at their own pace. It’s perfectly normal for some children to take a little longer to reach certain developmental milestones.
.Parental Involvement
Each page contains simple instructions meant to engage young children. Parents will need to read these instructions to their child and help them understand the tasks.
Encouraging Basic Skills
Most pages feature small arrows indicating the direction lines should be drawn. Teaching your child this basic left-to-right pattern can be beneficial, as early learning of this skill often makes it easier for children to grasp later on.
Maximizing Engagement
To fully benefit from the book, a child might first try the exercises using their fingers. Once comfortable, they can repeat the activities with a pencil, and then once more with a crayon. This repetition aids learning and reinforces the skills being developed.

Caboose Who Got Loose
Caboose Who Got Loose
Introduction to Katy Caboose
Katy Caboose was unlike any other caboose on the train. While most cabooses accepted their fate of being the last car, Katy dreamed of something more. She longed for a life beyond the noisy, bustling tracks—a life filled with peace and solitude, away from the constant clanging of wheels and the hustle of the trainyard.
Life at the End of the Train
As the caboose, Katy was always at the end of the line. She watched as the other cars got to experience the thrill of being at the front, feeling the wind rush past them and seeing the world first. Meanwhile, Katy trailed behind, often feeling forgotten and unappreciated.
Every day was the same for Katy, filled with the same scenery and the same routine. The rhythmic clatter of the train was her constant companion, but it only served to remind her of her dream to break free and find a place of her own.
The Accident
One fateful day, as the train was making its way through a particularly curvy part of the track, an unexpected event changed everything. A small landslide had caused debris to fall onto the tracks. The train came to a sudden halt, and amidst the commotion, Katy found herself detached from the rest of the train.
For a moment, she felt a pang of fear. What would become of her now that she was alone? But soon, the fear melted away, replaced by a sense of excitement and possibility. This was her chance to finally escape the endless railways and experience the solitude she had always dreamed of.
A New Beginning
As the sun set behind the distant hills, Katy sat still, basking in the newfound silence. She realized that her dream had come true in the most unexpected way. No longer bound to the tracks, she could find her own path and discover the world at her own pace.
Katy embraced her new life, finding joy in the simple pleasures around her. The quiet rustling of the leaves, the gentle chirping of crickets, and the soft glow of the moon became her companions. She was no longer the caboose who was last; she was now Katy, the caboose who got loose and found her peace.
Conclusion
Katy Caboose’s story is one of courage and hope. It reminds us that sometimes, the unexpected turns in life can lead us to the very dreams we long for. By daring to break free and follow her heart, Katy found the tranquility she had always desired. Her tale encourages us to embrace change and seek out our own paths to happiness.

Kindergarten 1
Kindergarten 1 Program Overview
Our Kindergarten 1 Program is designed specifically for children aged four to five years old. At this developmental stage, children are naturally curious and eager to explore the world around them. Our program aims to nurture this curiosity while supporting their growth in a balanced and engaging manner.
Emphasis on Literature
Reading good literature to children is one of the most effective teaching tools for parents. Through stories, children can explore new ideas, cultures, and concepts, which fosters their imagination and critical thinking skills. Storytime can also be a bonding experience, promoting listening skills and language development. We encourage parents to read a variety of books to their children regularly.
Limited Use of Workbooks
While children at this age can begin to engage with some workbooks, it’s crucial to limit their use. The development of fine motor skills is still in progress for many four to five-year-olds, which means that extensive workbook exercises can lead to hand fatigue. Instead, activities should be varied and include plenty of play-based learning opportunities, which are more aligned with their developmental needs and help reinforce skills in a fun and interactive way.
Non-Consumable Materials
Most of the items included in our Kindergarten 1 Program package are non-consumable. This means they are designed to be used multiple times and shared among children, fostering a sense of community and sustainable learning practices. These materials are curated to provide a rich and diverse educational experience, supporting both individual and group activities.
By focusing on literature, limiting workbook use, and utilizing non-consumable materials, our Kindergarten 1 Program aims to create a supportive and enriching environment that caters to the unique needs of young learners.
Creation Story for Children
Introduce children to the wonder of things God has created with this colorful storybook. Initially, each 2-page spread in the book is composed of a large illustration showing one of the seven days of Creation. Illustrations are detailed and colorful and show the vast array of things that God has created. Along with each illustration are the verses from Genesis that talk about that part of Creation (in the King James Version) along with a small description about it and a prompt to get kids to notice specific elements of Creation both in the pictures and in life. Then several pages in the book are dedicated to pointing out some especially unique and well-designed animals that God created. Each animal is shown in a colorful illustration and then a caption shares a bit about what is so amazing about the animal. The last part of the book focuses on why humans are so special and how God can know and love us so well because He created us. Excerpts from Psalm 139 are accompanied by cute pictures of children and explanations of how God knows all about us. A colorful and meaningful storybook by Helen and David Haidle, 40 pgs, hc.
44 Animals of the Bible
Each page shows a realistic color illustration of the animal with text giving some interesting information about the creature. For example, some have a different modern name than what was used in the Bible, such as the pygarg (a type of wild goat). You learn the context in which the animal is mentioned and see the specific verse at the bottom of the page. The text is interesting and uses some great vocabulary for children to learn. There are many references to something being an unclean animal (not to be eaten) which was fascinating. Animals are shown alphabetically and include things like badger, eagle, goat, ibex, mouse, owl, quail, tortoise and more.

Slate Board - 7" x 10"
Not only are these old fashioned and charming, but they are really useful when kids are learning to write their letters. The drag created when using chalk and a blackboard slows down your hand. There is a .75″ unfinished pine frame around the slate and you can write on both sides. Use these during a math lesson too! Kids will love the variety it adds. The dimensions below are for the writing surface itself. The sets with chalk have 2 pieces and a small foam eraser. Slate will break if you drop it or hit it too hard.
