High School Pathways
Why Learning Paths?
High school is where students begin preparing for their God-given calling. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all model, students at Charity Christian Academy pursue individualized learning paths aligned with their unique dreams, strengths, and goals. These pathways allow students to move beyond basic academics and begin applying their learning in meaningful, real-world ways. CCA offers six distinct pathways: Apprenticeship & Vocational, Life Skills & Work Study (designed for students with special needs), Dual Credit, Ministry & Caregiving, Small Business, and Special Focus—each designed to help students grow with purpose and direction as they prepare for life beyond high school.
Apprenticeship & Vocational Pathway
The Apprenticeship & Vocational Pathway is designed for students who thrive through hands-on learning and are ready to begin developing real-world skills for a future career. In this pathway, students move beyond traditional academics to gain practical experience in fields such as mechanics, aviation, dog training, agriculture, and other skilled trades. Through apprenticeships, mentorships, and vocational training opportunities, students learn by doing—building confidence, competence, and a strong work ethic.
This pathway allows students to align their education with their interests and future goals while still completing essential academic requirements. By combining skill development with purposeful learning, students are equipped to step directly into the workforce, pursue certifications, or continue specialized training after graduation, prepared to serve others and walk confidently in their calling.
Life Skills & Work Study Pathway
The Life Skills & Work Study Pathway is designed to support exceptional learners as they grow in independence, confidence, and purpose. This pathway focuses on equipping students with essential life skills needed for everyday living, including communication, time management, personal responsibility, and practical tasks such as budgeting, organization, and self-care. Learning is individualized and paced to meet each student where they are, allowing them to build skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.
In addition to life skills, students participate in meaningful work study experiences that help develop workforce readiness, such as following directions, completing tasks, interacting with others, and building strong habits for employment. By combining practical life training with real-world work opportunities, this pathway prepares students to live more independently, contribute to their communities, and pursue their God-given purpose with confidence.
Concurrent/ Dual Credit Pathway
The Concurrent / Dual Credit Pathway provides students with the opportunity to earn college credit while completing their high school education, allowing them to move confidently toward their future goals. Through a partnership with Oklahoma Christian University, students can take college-level courses and work toward an Associate of Science degree, gaining valuable academic experience and a strong foundation for continued education.
This pathway is designed for motivated students who are ready to be challenged and desire to accelerate their learning. By integrating high school studies with college coursework, students develop advanced study skills, time management, and academic discipline. The Dual Credit Pathway equips students to transition smoothly into college or career, saving time and tuition while preparing them to pursue their calling with excellence.
Ministry and Caregiving Pathway
The Ministry & Caregiving Pathway is designed for students who feel called to serve others by caring for their spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. This pathway prepares students to minister with compassion and wisdom while developing practical caregiving skills. Students learn how to support and care for children, the elderly, and individuals with special needs, gaining experience that builds both competence and a heart for service.
Through a combination of foundational academics, hands-on experiences, and real-life application, students develop skills in communication, responsibility, empathy, and leadership. Whether serving in churches, homes, or community settings, students are equipped to care for others in meaningful ways. This pathway helps students grow in Christ-like character while preparing for future opportunities in ministry, caregiving, education, or related fields.
Small Business & Entrepreneurship Pathway
The Small Business & Entrepreneurship Pathway is designed for students who are eager to create, innovate, and build something of their own. In this pathway, students learn how to turn ideas into real opportunities through hands-on experiences such as launching online stores, developing products, learning marketing strategies, and building strong financial literacy skills. From budgeting and pricing to branding and customer service, students gain practical knowledge that prepares them for real-world success.
Learning is highly personalized and centered on each student’s interests and goals. Students don’t just study business—they actively create and grow it. One student developed a high-end perfume company, another built a photography business, and another launched a lawn care service. These real-world experiences allow students to develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic while pursuing their God-given dreams. This pathway equips students to enter the business world, continue entrepreneurial ventures, or use their skills to serve others with purpose and creativity.
